Afternoon Tea

The wonderful tradition of afternoon tea may be enjoyed with a special touch and a twist at Venus Sophia. Experience our caring, attentive service, while appreciating one of the most celebrated rituals of tea culture, in a relaxed and elegant setting. Our refreshing afternoon tea is available everyday. 

We offer a new and different theme every month, changing the menu to use seasonal ingredients. Our tea includes the traditional delectable finger sandwiches  featuring creative house-made Vegetarian fillings. Decadent desserts include a seasonal selection of dainty French tarts, homemade chocolate, and shortbread, along with a warm baked scone served with cream and strawberry jam. To compliment your meal, a fresh fruit plate is served with a new twist, by introducing a beautifully presented tropical variety. Delicious food can only be complete with a delicious tea, and at Venus Sophia we have an extensive variety to suit every taste. May we suggest you try our premium Darjeeling, Cream Earl Grey, Assam, or Peachy Rooibos. Tea is served in antique tea cups and teapots; a charming and memorable way to spend your tea time.

Children’s Afternoon Tea

Children can now enjoy the delicious Venus Sophia afternoon tea too. The tea includes a tasty peanut butter and jam sandwich, a cream cheese sandwich, sweet tart, shortbread cookie, scone and a fresh mini pot of tea with a mini teacup.

MOTHER’S DAY AFTERNOON TEA SERVICE IS AVAILABLE ON SUNDAY 12 MAY ONLY. RESERVATIONS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. PLEASE VIEW THE MENU HERE.

Afternoon Tea starts at 10.30 a.m., with the last seating at 4.30 p.m. We recommend an hour to enjoy your afternoon tea experience. Please call (250) 590-3953 or email contact@venussophia.com to make a reservation. Walk-ins very welcome. Dress code: casual/semi-casual/other.
